Vertical Seclusion: The New Vertical Louver Option from PalmSHIELD
Vertical Seclusion: PalmSHIELD’s Vertical Louver Solution
PalmSHIELD is excited to announce Vertical Seclusion, their brand new vertical louver fence and screening system. Vertical louvers are popular for matching existing rooftop equipment screening designs and for mechanical equipment enclosures. PalmSHIELD recognizes that most buildings’ roof panels and eave have a vertical alignment in panel ridges or ribbing. Where the louvered screening aligns closely to roofing and eaves; designers want to continue its pattern for a consistent look.
The challenge PalmSHIELD encountered with a vertical louver design was that using traditional single profile louvers would not provide the consistent necessary screening. As you passed from left to right in front of the louvered screen or fence, you would go from full visibility to practically no visibility. You do not have this challenge with traditional horizontal louvers as the louvers are rotated to a specific angle that provides necessary screening at a standard line of sight.
PalmSHIELD has overcome this challenge by utilizing a double profile vertical louver design. At any angle, this style has 100% coverage yet still maintains good air flow. The louvers may be adjusted to establish some visibility and increase air flow or to allow light to pass on request.
The other challenge with this design that PalmSHIELD had to overcome was the use of supporting braces. Due to the fact that the louvers are vertically placed, the supporting braces would be horizontal. This horizontal structural brace would clash with the overall vertical appeal. To fix this issue, PalmSHIELD chose a vertical louver with significant structural integrity to be used on standard height panels.
Vertical Seclusion is available in our traditional aluminum louver design and in a galvanized steel louver design. Both of these vertical louver designs can be powder coated to match your specific choice of color. To learn more about this new product, please visit www.palmshieldlouvers.com today.
